Description
Cleopa is part of a group of drugs, known as aromatase inhibitors. These drugs inhibit the action of enzyme, called aomatase, that is needed in production of female sex hormones – estrogens, especially in postmenopausal women. Lowering estrogen levels is a way to treat hormone-dependent breast cancer.
Indications
- Cleopa is used for treatment of hormone-dependent early breast cancer in postmenopausal women after 2-3 years treatment with tamoxifen.
- Cleopa is used for teratment of hormone-depedent advanced breast cancer in postmenopausal women, when other hormone trearment hasn’t prodused satisfying results.
