Description
Ticlopidine is an antiplatelet drug in the thienopyridine family.
Indications
– To reduce the risk occurrence and recurrence of stroke (accidente vascular cerebral) in patients who have previously undergo, at least, one of the following process: complete thrombotic stroke, minor stroke, reversible ischemic neurologic deficit, transient ischemic attack (TIA) including transient monocular blindness.
– Prevention of ischemic stroke especially coronary, in patients with intermittent claudication from arteriopathy arteriosclerosis in the lower members.
– Prevention and correction of platelet problems caused by extracorporeal circuits: surgery with extracorporeal circulation, chronic hemodialysis.
– Prevention of sub-acute occlusions after STENT coronary implant, or others coronary surgical procedures.
