There is a winner for supplying the hexavalent vaccine. This was stated by Caretaker Health Minister Dr. Miroslav Nenkov from the Council of Ministers, cited by the agencies. The deadline for appealing the choice is ten days. According to Minister Nenkov, “if no one remembers to appeal”, after this deadline passes an agreement with the successful supplier will be signed. The choice was made on the basis of the lowest price proposed, as becomes clear from a communication from the Ministry of Health.
All suppliers of the vaccine were invited to take part in the last negotiation procedure without a notice and on the final deadline date – the 3rd of November – two offers were submitted.
According to the contract, the successful supplier has to provide 90 000 doses of hexavalent vaccines, of which 40 000 doses – within this month, and another 50 000 – in December. The estimated value set forth in the contract is 9 243 000 BGN without VAT.
The vaccine will protect children against diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, hepatitis type B, polio, Haemophilus influenzae type B.
