    Akinestat belongs to a group of medicines called anticholinergic agents, that counteract or block the action of acetylcholine. They have a central action and weak peripheral effects. As a result of the blockade of cholinergic receptors biperiden, an active substance of Akinestat relieves and eliminates the symptoms of parkinsonism.

    Indications

    Parkinson’s syndrome, especially with muscle rigidity and tremor. Extrapyramidal symptoms, such as acute dystonia, akathisia or Parkinson’s syndrome, provoked by neuroleptics or other drugs with a similar effect.

  • Description

    Doxazosin-Tchaikapharma contains doxazosin – an α-blocker used to treat high blood pressure, and benign prostatic hyperplasia.

    Indications

    Hypertension
    Doxazosin is indicated for the treatment of hypertension and can be used as the sole agent to control blood pressure in the majority of patients. In patients inadequately controlled on single antihypertensive therapy, doxazosin may be used in combination with a thiazide diuretic, beta-adrenoceptor blocking agent, calcium antagonist or an angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor.

    Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)
    Doxazosin is indicated for the treatment of symptoms associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and by urinary outflow obstruction, related to BPH. Doxazosin may be used in BPH patients who are either hypertensive or normotensive. While in normotensive patients the changes in blood pressure were clinically insignificant, in patients with hypertension and BPH both conditions were effectively treated with doxazosin monotherapy.

    Vancocin CP contains the active substance vancomycin. Vancomycin is an antibiotic that belongs to a group of antibiotics called “glycopeptides”. Vancomycin works by eliminating certain bacteria that cause infections.

    Indications

    Vancomycin is used in all age groups by infusion for the treatment of the following serious infections:
    – Infections of the skin and tissues below the skin;
    – Infections of bone and joints;
    – An infection of the lungs called “pneumonia”;
    – Infection of the inside lining of the heart (endocarditis) and to prevent endocarditis in patients at risk when undergoing major surgical procedures;
    – Infection in central nervous system;
    – Infection in the blood linked to the infections listed above.

    Glimepiride is a medium-to-long acting sulfonylurea anti-diabetic drug.

    Indications

    Gliper is indicated for treatment of diabetes Type II when cannot be controlled by diet, exercise or weight loss alone. It is not suitable for the treatment of insulin-dependent (Type I) diabetes mellitus (e.g. for the treatment of diabetics with a history of ketoacidosis, of diabetic ketoacidosis, or of diabetic precoma or coma).
